Celebrating our latest housing graduates!
We’re starting this month with a celebration as 12 of our colleagues have completed their Level 3 certificates in Housing Practice, qualifications offered by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH).
The professional accreditation provides a broader knowledge and understanding of key areas in delivering housing services, and includes modules such as ‘Equality and Diversity in Housing’ and ‘Delivery of Affordable Housing Services’.
Awardees received their certificates at our celebration ceremony today, presented by our Director of Business Transformation, Sarah Barrett.
Laura Miller is one of our Maintenance Officers, and one of the group completing the course. She said: “The course was a great way to expand my knowledge of social housing. I really enjoyed the study days, and I’ve put my learning into practice by offering other colleagues and residents advice on topics covered as part of the course.”
Supported Housing Manager, Teresa Perry enrolled on the course to widen her knowledge of housing law. She said: “Completing the course has given me confidence and opened up a network of people I can talk to if I need support. I’d really recommend the next course to all of my colleagues.”
Sarah Barrett, Director of Business Transformation, said: “Investing in our teams is an important part of what we do and we’re really proud of their achievements. We know that everyone's really busy with their lives outside of work, so it's a huge credit that they've been committed to studying to develop their housing knowledge to ensure we can deliver the best possible service to our customers.”
