Two Somerset developments win Considerate Constructors Awards
Two developments in Somerset have received Considerate Constructors Awards, at the National Site Awards 2015.
The developments were recognised for demonstrating a commitment to best practice in construction and sensitivity to local surroundings, the general public and the workforce.
The awards were presented to the site contractors at a ceremony last month. We've acted as the Development Agent for both developments and were responsible for selecting the contractors to build the homes.
The awards were:
- A silver award for Stogursey Lane in Nether Stowey, Sedgemoor, owned by SHAL Housing. The scheme will offer 20 new homes for rent
- A bronze award for Creechbarrow Road in Taunton. This is a joint scheme between us and Taunton Deane Borough Council, and will offer 92 homes for rent.
Caroline Hughes, our Head of Development, said “We’re very proud that two schemes we’re involved in have been recognised by the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
We’re dedicated to promoting high quality and best practice in the construction of all our developments and those that we act as agents for. Consideration for the general public and the environment is vitally important in demonstrating our commitment to the communities we invest in.”
