LiveWest: Creating Greener Futures Together

Sustainable homes, neighbourhoods and communities are at the heart of what it means to deliver a home for everyone

Working smarter

We are taking colleagues on our environmental journey, ensuring paper consumption and business miles are reduced, phasing out single use plastic at our offices and using environmentally friendly stationery.

Sustainable homes

We are committed to improving the energy performance of our existing and new homes. This runs alongside our core ambition to support our customers and address fuel poverty.

Shaping futures

We are working with customers and partners to ensure that sustainability lies at the heart of our organisation. We want to shape healthier futures across our communities.

What we're doing

We will increase energy efficiency, reduce our carbon footprint and improve living costs for our customers. Whenever possible, we will influence specifications and design to ensure that the new homes we build are sustainable. We will work smarter and from office energy and electric vehicles through to our construction supply chain, we will create a greener future, together.

Current projects

Investment of £40million to help move all of our existing homes to an EPC rating of C and above by 2028 - Three quarters of our homes have already met this.

No waste from our three main offices goes to landfill.

Our 2020/2021 sustainability report

We recognise our responsibility to improve and have a positive impact on the lives of our customers, our communities and our planet. We strive to maximise our social value, good governance and environmental responsibility.

As part of our commitment, we have become early adopters of the Sustainability Reporting Standard to enable our investors, customers and all stakeholders to assess and measure our performance against each of the key criteria, and how they align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s).

Our sustainable finance framework December 2021

We believe that this Sustainable Finance Framework (the “Framework”) underscores and facilitates the long-term funding and execution of our sustainability priorities. It is important that the finance we raise in accordance with this Framework is transparently allocated to projects and initiatives that align with relevant sustainability standards and positively impact our underlying customers in a sustainable way.

Our stakeholders will appreciate that at the very core of our business lies the ambition to deliver better social and environmental outcomes for our customers. We seek to endorse this objective through our Framework.
