Planned repairs

We carry out regular checks on your homes to look at the condition of kitchens, bathrooms, doors and heating systems, for example. We also look at when they were last replaced to find out if they're near the end of their life cycle. To find this out, click on the Planned repairs expected life cycle attachment on the left.

The regular checks help us to develop our improvement programmes which are delivered every five years, if required. If your home is scheduled for an improvement we'll write to you.

Last year we spent £6.6m on improving homes. Since 2008 our programme of improvement has included:
  • Replacing over 1,700 kitchens
  • Replacing over 1,600 heating systems.
All property owned and managed by Knightstone must meet the Decent Homes standard. To meet the standard, our homes must have reasonably modern facilities, be warm and weatherproof. For more information about this click the following link to be directed to our Decent Homes page: Decent Homes.
