Our Communications Team has been shortlisted for CIPR Excellence Awards 2014

07 April 2014

Working with Halo Media, we've been shortlisted for a 2014 Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Excellence Award, the public relations profession’s most prestigious annual awards scheme.

We've been shortlisted for the Internal Communications Campaign category, making the cut from approximately 700 awards entries received from around the globe.

The Internal Communications Campaign was driven from our Take on The Future transformational change programme which saw us refocus our area, reshape our services and refresh our ways of working. Staff were relocated from six regional offices into one central office, over 100 staff became mobile workers, a new brand was launched as well as an entirely new way of working. We enlisted the help of brand consultants Halo Media to communicate the changes to staff.

Melissa Escott, Head of Communications said “It’s not easy to change everything people know and understand, but through a considered and engaging program of internal communications we’ve achieved something genuinely amazing, together.

I’m massively proud of our small Communications Team who, working with Halo Media worked tirelessly to deliver consistently excellent results, engaging staff across the business, at all levels and in all locations.

We delivered this radical overhaul and internal communications campaign with minimal impact on service delivery and customer satisfaction. Against a backdrop of pay reviews, changes to expenses and pensions, keeping morale so high was a credit to the work we put in.

We were up against fierce competition so being shortlisted for this award has proven that we’re a sector leader and innovator.”

Commenting, CIPR Excellence Awards Chairs of Judges Lionel Zetter FCIPR and Helen Dickinson MCIPR, said: “Making the CIPR Excellence Awards shortlist marks you out as being amongst the most professional, most creative, and most outstanding in the business. Congratulations for making it this far and best of luck for the panel interview stage.”

The winner of the award will be announced at the CIPR Excellence Awards black tie dinner at Old Billingsgate, London on Tuesday 17 June 2014.
