What is planned maintenance and improvements?
Major maintenance work and improvements to homes to make sure they’re kept to a good standard.
Planned maintenance makes sure we spot any problems you may not have noticed, or might not have reported to us on the repairs helpline. Click the following link to be directed to our Report a repair page:
Report a repair.
The Asset Management Team are responsible for this work. They look after your home and keep our housing stock in good condition. This includes:
- Replacements – for example, kitchens, bathrooms, boilers and rewiring
- Major repairs including complete refurbishments or remodelling
- External painting
- Major adaptations for people with disabilities
- Major environmental improvements
We also improve homes to bring them up to a ‘decent standard’ and make them more energy efficient.
To help us manage our housing stock effectively and deliver major repairs, we divided our stock into 17 new Local Investment Plan areas (LIPs), North and South. To see when your area has major repairs due to be carried out, click the image on the left.
