Guidance notes
Please read carefully before applying.
How to apply
Most vacancies require you to complete our on line application form. Details of completing this form are shown below. There are occasions where we do not require this. In such instances the advertisement and the attached documents will detail the method required for applications. If an alternative method of how to apply is not stated you should proceed with completing the application form and following the guidance below. Otherwise please follow the steps highlighted in the attached documents on how to apply.
Completing the application form online
The list of vacancies is shown online by clicking on the Jobs page of the website. To apply for any vacancy please click on the vacancy name which will link you to the advert for the position and allow you to apply online. On clicking “Apply Online” you will be reminded of these guidance notes before being asked to complete our online application form. Please note that unless stated we do not accept CV’s in the application process. This means that the information you provide in the application form will be used to assess your suitability for the role.
Accompanying information
With all vacancies you should find accompanying information which you should read carefully. This will normally include a job description for the position and a general list of terms and conditions which apply. You may also find useful information in the accompanying information to aid your application.
Competency based questions
Part of the application form contains a section asking competency based questions. There are four questions in this section and you should give detailed answers with examples of your experience. Your application will be scored on this section in order to be called for interview. You should therefore detail examples relevant to the position you have applied. (Tip; Type your answers in your word processor e.g. MS Word, then copy and paste your answer into the relevant answer space)
Saving a partly completed application form
If required, you can save a part complete application by using the save button at any time during the process. If you do this you will be sent an email containing a link back to your part complete application. You can repeat this process as often as required before finally submitting. If you need to change information in your application you can only do this once you have completed the form and are reviewing before final submission.
Monitoring and personal information
Arcadia and Knightstone aim to promote equality of opportunity for all so that we can maintain the right mix of talent, skills and potential for the organisation. We welcome applications from a diverse range of candidates. The selection panel do not see the personal information you submit nor the information relevant to spent convictions.
Depending on the post for which you have applied it may be necessary for you to complete a self disclosure of convictions past and present. If it is a mandatory requirement for you to complete that section it will be made clear to you in the accompanying information available to you.
Data Protection Act 1998
