Why get involved?

You can make a real difference, to:
  • help us improve services
  • improve the community and environment where you live
  • meet other people, increase skills, gain knowledge and confidence working with residents, staff and partner organisations.
The more residents we have that get involved, the more likely we are able to make sure our services best reflect the needs of all of our residents. By getting involved not only will you have the opportunity to put your opinions across and make a difference. You will also have the chance to meet other residents and staff from across the Knightstone business and, if it interests you, have the opportunity to attend events and training.

We also pay expenses to make sure that you aren’t out of pocket (to find out more about our expenses policy, please click on the document on the left hand side of the page).

Working together

Involvement will not work without the mutual respect and recognition of everyone’s point of view. All individuals taking part – residents and staff – must acknowledge that everyone has a right to enjoy their involvement without unreasonable demands being made of their time or patience. Distress must not be caused to participants.  You will be asked to sign a Code of Conduct before you start getting involved.

We reserve the right to exclude residents from involvement and future involvement with the organisation through the Resident Involvement Volunteer Review.

To view both the Resident Involvement Code of Conduct and Volunteer Review please click on the documents on the left hand side of the page.
